Resilient Women Rise is hosting an exclusive vision board workshop to give you the tools to breathe life into your goals for the new year with a fun group of people. Read on to learn all about what vision boards are and why you should join the workshop!

What is a vision board?

A vision board is a collage of pictures, words, and quotes that helps you manifest and maintain focus on specific life goals. Your personalized vision board should guide you through your life experiences, relationships, and more during the new calendar year.

Why should you create a vision board?

When you put your energy into something and surround yourself with a concrete vision of what you want in life, it’s easier to make changes in your life to match that vision.

Some purposes of a vision board:

  • Manifest your goals
  • Keep you mindful of your intentions
  • Give your vision clarity
  • Self-reflection

How do you create a vision board?

To create a vision board, you look through images and find words that represent what you want to be, have, or do in life, and then you glue those onto a board in an artistic way. Your finished board should be placed in a visible spot that you frequently see so it can provide constant motivation to achieve your goals.

You may not have specific new year goals nailed down before the workshop. That’s okay! Our instructor will provide prompts during the activity that help you think about what you want out of the new year. Looking through the magazines will also provide you with inspiration and clarify your vision for the future.

And no, you don’t need to be an artist to create a vision board. What’s important is what you get out of the activity; not how pretty other people think your board is. The only thing that matters for the final product is that it inspires you! The same can be said about the other creative aspects of this workshop. The insights you make and the support you get during the process are more important than what your final vision board looks like.

Vision Board Workshop

Who should attend a vision board workshop?

You will likely benefit from participating in a vision board workshop if you are:

  • Interested in self-reflection, self-care, and creative expression
  • Feeling stuck or wondering what’s next in your life
  • Focused more on what you should be doing instead of what you enjoy doing
  • Ready to make changes but need clarification on how to do so
  • Committed to your personal growth
  • Wanting to feel prepared, empowered, and motivated to go after your goals
  • Wanting to transform what you want into what you are, have, and do
  • Seeking better connection with yourself and others
  • Eager to give and receive support to and from others

Why should you make a vision board with a group?

There is something powerful about creating a vision for your life in a group setting. Oftentimes, the people in your group setting provide you with support, encouragement, and insight that you can’t get when creating a vision board by yourself. In addition, in the Resilient Women Rise vision board workshop, you also have a skilled leader to guide you through the process, ask you questions about your intentions, and provide feedback.

What do I get out of the workshop?

The two-hour event will allow participants to share, discuss, and be creative with one another while we set goals and get creative!  Workshop attendees will receive their own blank canvas board, craft supplies, one-on-one feedback, charcuterie board snacks, and wine. Life coach Trienne Topp will walk you through the process of personalizing a powerful and effective vision board. She will use creative techniques to help you express yourself, gain clarity, experience joy, and get support from others.

Who knows, you may get some new lifelong friends out of the class, too!

As Joel Barker said, “Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is simply passing the time. Action with vision is making a positive difference.” I believe the variety of creative techniques we will showcase at this workshop provides the opportunity for both vision and action.

Lori
